A contemporary ‘Tree of Life” – collaged city map of Toronto, handwriting on the roots; cottons, hand dyed, hand and machine embroidery.
Travelled to five venues around Nova Scotia throughout 2013 beginning at the Acadia Art Gallery, Wolfville and ending at the Nova Scotia Art Gallery, Yarmouth. 38 entries responding to the theme “Kaleidoscopes”. Cottons, felt, all hand stitched.
The Nova Scotia Fibre Arts Bee had a show titled “Provocative” at the Edible Art Cafe Nov 2013 to Jan 2014. This was my entry which sold the afternoon before the opening. Numerous textile techniques. All hand stitching on the woman.
