The Joy of Anne

The 2nd category we had to illustrate the essence of Anne. I wanted to create a quilt to bring that nostalgic feeling remembering when I first read about her in the early 1960's. I took a very illustrative approach which involved loads of research but I think I captured some of her best moments.

The time she spent in front of her bedroom window. Her joy in describing the beauty around her. Meeting her best friend, her dream come true. And the home she so loved and her future dreams.

"The Joy of Anne"   30" x 30"
